support services for enterprises (BDS
Businesses Development Services) -such as
a BDS Provider- the success depends in
large part on management abilities as
well as on the technical capacities. In
the management area, the strategic focus
added to the planning abilities,
implementation and monitoring capacity; a
structured good costs system, as well as
a continuous self-assessment based on
updated and reliable data are
fundamental.
In
the technical area, services development
according to the needs and the
expectations of each client, service
delivery and services follow-up guided to
the maximizing of impact &
outreach as well as a good operative
performance of personnel are sought under
optimum conditions. From this
perspective, the BDS Management System
and the Enterprises Competitiveness
Management System as well as their
support software/databases -developed by
CODETI based on the experience with BDS
Centers and enterprises in Latin America,
Africa and the Middle East - are a
relevant factor to support BDS Providers
management.
The BDS Management System
(BDS-MS) and its
software is
a flexible system that helps to generate
a series of reliable and comparable data
that permit to strengthen the
coordination capacity of institutions
with different programs or those whose
programs have multiple services delivery
Centers such as is the case of different
BDS Providers, reinforcing the strategic
capacity of the organization. The BDS-MS'
indicators permit to make valid
comparisons, to apply the technique of
benchmarking, to perform corrective
measures and strategic actions focused in
the achievement of the BDS Center/Program
